Elvis, new teeth, and child labor...

I was trying to take a picture of Drew and his new little tooth but you can't see it very well yet. In the process, he was making funny faces and one was very Elvis-like...too funny! Brenna loves to clean, which I think is absolutely fabulous! She likes the Swiffer best of all and even attached the little cleaning pad and everything all by herself. Unfortunately, she also likes to Swiffer the carpet which doesn't work very well. Next week I'll have to get out the vacuum...

New teeth...

My kiddos have been busy sprouting new teeth this past week. Last weekend, Brenna managed to get 4 new molars--all at the same time!! There was much weeping and fever but she is much better now and sporting new chompers. And then yesterday Drew managed to get his first tooth!! I will post pictures when there is more to see, it has barely broken the skin but nonetheless present. Bless his heart, last night when he woke up to eat he proceeded to gnaw on my chin. I suppose it must have felt good to him, but not too comfortable for me ;)

Weekend goings on

This was a big weekend for our family. Scott turned 30 on Sunday and took "the boys" dove hunting in Brownwood. I think he is lamenting his age a bit but won't admit it! But he had a good time, I'm glad he was able to do something fun for his birthday. On Saturday night, I took my dad to a Maroon 5/Counting Crows concert in Dallas. It was awesome!!! I don't think I've been to a concert in 10 years. Counting Crows is one of my two favorite bands of all time so it was awesome to see them live. We went with friends of ours from Abilene and I am so glad we were all able to go together. Once my friend, Yancey, sends me pics I will post them. I'm sure no one else will care but me but I will post them anyway ;)

Labor Day @ the Lake

We went to Brownwood on Sunday and hung out at the lake for a bit. Brenna absolutely loves to swim and is fearless, as you can see in the picture where she is going off the slide. She had a great time and I think Drew is beginning to get interested in the whole water idea as well.

Cheeto fingers

Mistake #583--I told Brenna to go to the pantry the other day and pick something she wanted for breakfast. I figured she would just look and point like she always does. Well, while I was tending Drew, out walks Brenna from the pantry with a bag of baked Cheetos in her hands happily munching away. Oh well, nice photo op I suppose!
