End of blog hiatus...

I can't really tell you why I haven't blogged in just hasn't been high on my list of priorities I suppose. We have had a very busy but very fun summer thus far. Brenna completed 2 sessions of swimming lessons and Drew not only is walking now but running everywhere he goes! The child has to keep up with his sister...for those of you who know her you know exactly what I am talking about!!

Happy Birthday Drew!!

Wow, I can't believe my sweet little boy is already a year old! I can honestly say this past year has flown by. We are so incredibly blessed to have our son in our lives...he truly is a gift from God! Drew, I am awed by you daily. Your warm smile, infectious laughter, and sweet spirit make you the unique little person you are. I can't wait to see the big boy and young man you are to be. I love you, little punkin!!!

Yard fun

Spring is here! We had a great time playing in the yard all weekend, it is wonderful to be able to enjoy the outside before all the humidity comes...

Scott and I took the kids to the zoo on St. Patrick's day...also spring break in the area. It was crazy crowded but I think the kiddos had a good time. Drew was fairly uninterested but Brenna was obsessed with all the pooping going on...

Poppa Earl's Birthday and random bathtime

We recently celebrated Poppa Earl's birthday (I won't say which one...wink!) with a wonderful meal and an awesome cake (which we are still enjoying...yum!) Happy Birthday, Dad, we love you!!

Drew is finally at the age where he can sit up in the bath all by himself (yea!!!) and Brenna thinks it is really fun to "wash Buddy up". So, she and Drew have a great time in the bath...I truly have 2 water babies.

Scott and I recently visited the beautiful island of Kauai. It was a wonderful trip with lots of eating, sight seeing, adventuring, etc. What a testament of God's handiwork! Kauai is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Ever.

Brenna funnies

The Lord most definitely has a sense of humor. Yesterday Brenna was just having one of those days. Everything little thing was a battle, she was disobeying and hitting (which she never does), and was just flat having a bad day. Needless to say, my patience was wearing very thin by church time. She did fine at church and was even doing better by the time we got home. So, I was having a little talk with her about the day's misadventures. I told her that she really hurts Mommy's feeling when she acts the way she was. She then proceeded to say, "Mommy, can I kiss your feelings and make it all better?". Well, how can you be mad at that?

Then I told her that Mommy was sorry for losing her patience and being so hard on her. She then gave me a big hug and said, "Are you sorry for making bad choices, Mommy?". Glad to know she is learning so much about good and bad choices at school...
